With this update, the style of in-app message notifications has also changed. WhatsApp was testing the 'view once' feature for the past several months. Photo-videos sent after turning on the View Once feature will disappear after viewing, although this feature will not prevent the user from taking screenshots.

WhatsApp's view once feature is available on WhatsApp version 2.21.150 on iPhone. To use this feature, you have to tap on the '1' icon. Photos will no longer be visible in video chats once they disappear. Apart from this, even where the media file is stored, the photos-videos sent with this feature will not be visible.
